Bright Start Leadership Academy is unique because it is a private family owned and operated preschool where children can receive high quality education. As parents of two children, we know the importance of leaving your child in a child care center where your hearts will be fully rested knowing that your little one is being loved, nurtured and well respected by God fearing leaders.

Bright Start uses A Beka curriculumfor appropriate ages. A beka has the best curriculum we can follow to help your child prepare for school age.

We believe that children learn by interacting, our staff will bring that atmosphere for the children.
Every child is an individual who has his or her own rate of physical development, and own pace of learning.  Each child is accepted, loved, nurtured, and taught as an individual with this thought in mind.

Repetition is the key to learning.

We help our children master new task by using the strategy of repetition. Children are confident when they know they can master a task.

We believe the best in each child and see them as leaders of tomorrow.

Our environment is full of ideas, pictures, posters that helps to widen the imaginary mind of our children. Our children will learn in small groups; our goal is for them to enjoy learning that they will build a life time love for learning.

Daily Devotion Meditation

We start our day by putting God first by observing a daily devotion.

• A Beka curriculum for appropriate ages.
• Multi media and Library Studies
  Helps with listening, early reading and self control
• Sports
  Soccer skills training class for ages 3-up – Junior Kicks
• Foreign Language:
  Spanish
• Drama
  (there will be end of year major shows and seasonal shows.)
• Music and Movement.
  Children will learn music as fun as part of their daily learning process. Parent’s performance shows will be put together.
• Dance
  Tot, Ballet, Jr. Jazz (VIDEO) program for fun.
• Creative Arts
  Teaches color, design and motor skills.
• Math
  Learn numbers, sequencing and problem solving
• Building Blocks:
  Learn our shapes and sizes.
• Science and Discovery:
  We learn about plants and animals and the world in which we live.
• Bible Knowledge: 
  We learn about our creation and biblical hero’s.

Daily Schedule

Days and Hours of operation: Monday – Friday 6:30 a.m – 6:00 p.m, weather permitting. Our program is a year round program based on quarter system however, we follow Lewisville ISD for school closing or delayed openings due to inclement weather conditions.

Our daily schedule includes:

Age Groups:

Infants - PK-2
Children ages 12 months - 24 months

PK-3
Children ages 3 years old

PK-4
Children ages 4 years old

PK-Pre-Kindergarten

Due to state requirements regarding age brackets of students, some children are unable to enroll in public kindergarten based on their month of birth. Our private Kindergarten will be a positive Kindergarten year to impact our children's academic growth.

Dress Code

BSLA is a uniform based school. Children ages 2 and above should wear uniforms to school Monday-Thursdays. BSLA T-shirts will be worn on Fridays with jeans*.

Below are the colors:

Boys: White and Red polo shirts with Navy-Blue Pants. (Short pants during summer and long pants plus long sleeves during winter)

Girls: White and Red polo shirts with Navy-Blue skirts. Please wear short tights under skirts. (Long sleeves during winter with leggings under skorts/skirts).

Shoes: Sneakers’/white socks on regular days and black shoe/white socks for occasions. No open toe shoes.

Please keep extra changes of uniform clothing including under clothing and socks in your child’s Cubin at all times. This is to be sure your child is prepared for occasional accidents.

As a courtesy to our parents:   We provide one Friday a month date night for our families from 6:00pm – 10:00 pm for a fee.
